About

Juan is a New York City/Los Angeles based actor/singer and filmmaker. He thrives in creating new works.

Juan was born to immigrant parents in Maryland and grew up in York, Pennsylvania with his older brother and his twin sister. Juan is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he got a BFA in Theatre. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Film from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, a CalArts affiliate. Juan currently works professionally as an actor and singer, and has begun producing his own work as a screenwriter and director.

With the help of dozens of people we are INCHES away from our $20,000 goal on @seedandspark. Our campaign ends July 4th, just two days away. I wanted to share this clip of the concert we threw a few weeks ago at @thegreenroom42. 20K is just the beginning for us. It will get us off the ground and moving.

BUT with your help we can go so much further…

At $25,000, we will be able to expand our search for talent.
At $30,000, we will be able to increase our equipment resources and invest more in our crew.
At $35,000, we will be able to invest more in our film’s music and sound design as well as cover general marketing materials, festival submission fees and trailer creation.
At $40,000+, we can hire a publicist, cover the costs of flights and lodging to attend film festivals domestically, and take this film internationally!!!

It’s a short film based on my life, which tells a raw, honest, and impactful story about family, survival, and the forces that would tear them apart.

It’s about a closeted Mormon boy’s relationship with his devout mother as it’s pushed to the brink when a secret night out ends in catastrophe.

This project is being spearheaded by queer people in recovery hoping to share our message of healing in the face of adversity.
